In 2017, the Southampton-based FooR collective reinvigorated the iconic ‘Pure Garage’ compilation, leading to the formation of Garage Shared. Our mission is clear: to give UK Garage producers of all backgrounds a platform to showcase their sound and grow. A year later, Southampton’s DJ Bitr8 joined the fold, launching our sister label GS Dubs.
Championing Emerging Talent and Legends
Together, Garage Shared and GS Dubs have been pivotal in launching the careers of rising UK Garage stars such as Soulecta, TuffCulture, Oppidan, Gemi, SHOSH, and Prozak. We’ve also had the privilege of releasing music from legendary UK Garage artists like MC Neat, Matt Jam Lamont, and Mighty Moe. These releases have earned support from top figures in the Garage music scene, including prominent DJs, producers, and radio show hosts. This backing has helped propel our artists into the limelight, spreading the unmistakable sound of UKG worldwide.
Meet Soulecta: The New Prodigy of UK Garage
Soulecta stands out as one of the leading figures in the new wave of British Garage talent. His viral video remixes have amassed over 3 million views, catching the attention of tastemakers like DJ EZ, Skream, Danny Howard, Jaguar, Conducta, and DJ Q. Soulecta’s electrifying sets have graced airwaves on BBC Radio 1Xtra and Kiss FM, further showcasing his remarkable skills. In May 2021, his debut collaborative album, “Soulecta & Friends”, peaked at number five on the UK Dance Albums Chart, solidifying his place as one of UK Garage’s brightest stars.
Tuff Culture: A UK Garage Veteran Pushing Boundaries
Tuff Culture, hailing from Birmingham, is a UK Garage veteran renowned for his unique, experimental take on the genre. For the past five years, he’s played a major role in revitalizing the UK Garage scene. Known for his collaborations with labels like Garage Shared, Kiwi Records, and Nuvolve Music, Tuff Culture is a consistent innovator. His work receives regular support from well-known DJs such as Jeremiah Asamiah, Toddla T, and DJ Target, while the likes of DJ EZ, Todd Edwards, and Sammy Virji champion his groundbreaking sound.
