DāM-FunK has spent his career bringing funk back into the spotlight with his distinctive sound, blending elements of 70s funk, electro, and modern rhythms. A Los Angeles native from Pasadena, Dam has lived and breathed funk since childhood, drawing influences from the golden age of funk and electro pioneers like Egyptian Lover and Prince. His musical journey includes apprenticeships with legendary figures like Leon Sylvers III, and collaborations with hip-hop artists like Mack 10, MC Eiht, and Snoop Dogg.

DāM-FunK’s partnership with Stones Throw Records resulted in iconic releases such as Toeachizown (2009), Invite the Light (2015), and 7 Days of Funk with Snoop Dogg. His signature sound continues to evolve while remaining deeply rooted in the essence of funk.
