BABii is the alter-ego of master creator and electronic adventurer Daisy Warne. Renowned for her ability to weave intricate soundscapes, BABii produces, writes, and sings tracks filled with skittering beats and fractured synths. Her music is a journey where 808 bass booms sit beneath delicate, celestial chords, and lyrics dance between shadows and glimpses of light.
Last year, she captivated listeners with her collaborative mixtape “SCREAMER,” which is rich with influences from UK bassline, garage, and DnB. Featuring a host of influential producers like Iglooghost, sv1, umru, and Pholo, this project further solidified her place in the electronic music landscape.
Now, with SPOiiLSPORT, she offers a devious and forward-thinking take on the pop vocal pack. This collection goes beyond just melodies, chops, and adlibs that make your track shine. It features tantalizing FX and quirky drums, all crafted from the ground up using BABii’s voice. As the sticker label on her submission CD humorously notes, these are “the sounds of a sour-faced spoilsport who refuses to use anything but the sound of their own voice.”
